BALTIMORE – The Salisbury University women's lacrosse team will be entering the NCAA tournament on Saturday as the No. 2-ranked team in the country in the latest Lacrosse Magazine ranking, the organization announced Tuesday.
Coming in at No. 1 again this week, with an undefeated 19-0 record, is the State University of New York at Cortland, after claiming the State University of New York Athletic Conference title in a 12-9 victory over SUNY Geneseo. Salisbury follows in at No. 2 with an 18-1 overall record, while The College of New Jersey, Trinity (Conn.) College and Gettysburg College round out the top five.
The women take the field on Saturday, May 10 for their first tournament game, as Salisbury welcomes Farmingdale State College to Sea Gull Stadium for a second-round tilt. First draw is set for 3:30 p.m.
