SALISBURY, Md. – On Sunday, March 23, the No. 1 Salisbury University women' s lacrosse team will encourage fans to "pink out" Sea Gull Stadium for the team's annual Pink Game. The Gulls will be raising money for "Lax for the Cure" as the women will host No. 4 Franklin & Marshall College; first draw is set for 1 p.m.
This marks the third-consecutive year that the program will raise money for breast cancer awareness and research. SU will be raising money to help the fight against breast cancer, with money raised going to a local charity. Last year, the women's lacrosse team raised close to $5,000 during the event.
During the event, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction for a chance at various themed baskets. Those in attendance can also partake in the "Goals for the Cure," pledging a monetary amount for each goal the Sea Gulls score in the contest.
Pink balloons will be on sale for a $2 donation for anyone who knows someone that has been affected by breast cancer. Those balloons will be displayed in the stadium during the game. Fans will receive a pink ribbon for any donation.
