Sea Gulls remain at No.1 in Lacrosse Magazine rankings for the second week in a row

BALTIMORE—The Salisbury University women's lacrosse team remains at the top in this week's Lacrosse Magazine's top-20 ranking, the organization announced Monday.

The No. 1 Sea Gulls (2-0) continued their winning streak extending it to 25, after defeating No. 19 Stevenson University, 8-6, on Saturday.  Senior attacker Shannon Carta and junior attacker Shelby Nemecek both posted hat tricks to total six of the eight goals for Salisbury.

While many teams have still not competed in their first contest, the top-five teams still remain the same as last week. Behind Salisbury is the State University of New York at Cortland in second followed by Trinity (Conn.) College, Middlebury College and Franklin & Marshall College.

The Sea Gulls will host Catholic University of America in their next contest this Saturday, Mar. 1 at 1 p.m.
