GRAND LAKE, Colo. – For the fourth consecutive week, the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team sits at No. 2 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Top 20 poll, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls kept hold of its lone first-place vote and had 376 points again this week.
Trinity (Conn.) College remains atop the poll, getting the other 19 first-place votes and 396 points.
Following Salisbury is the State University of New York at Cortland, with 363 points. At No. 4 again this week is Gettysburg College, garnering 333 points. Rounding out the top five is Middlebury College, that was awarded 314 points.
The Capital Athletic Conference is again represented by three member institutions, with York (Pa.) College at No. 10 and University of Mary Washington rounding out the poll at No. 20.
While the top five remained in the same order for the fourth straight time, there is a chance for shakeup, with Salisbury facing off against SUNY Cortland Wednesday. The top-three matchup will be played in Lancaster, Pa., on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College. Game time is scheduled for noon.
