Three student-athletes named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its Academic Honor Roll and three members of the 2010 Salisbury University women's lacrosse national championship program were honored.

Seniors Stephanie Cahill and Jessica Chmielewski plus junior Aileen McCausland were among 184 Division III student-athletes named to the honor roll.

Cahill, a midfielder, appeared in 15 games with one start and scored one goal this past season. The Maple Shade, N.J., native scooped up 12 ground balls and caused five turnovers for the Sea Gulls.

Chmielewski, a midfielder, played and started in all 22 games for SU. The Woodbine, Md., native finished second on the team in points (64) on 32 goals and 32 assists. Additionally she scooped up 31 ground balls, caused 28 turnovers and won 16 draw controls.

McCausland, a midfielder, played and started in 21 games for the maroon and gold in 2010. The Phoenix, Md., native totaled 51 points on 44 goals and seven assists. McCausland picked up 20 ground balls, caused 15 turnovers and won 19 draw controls for the Sea Gulls.

In addition to the three Sea Gull student-athletes, the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) was represented by two representatives from both the University of Mary Washington and St. Mary's (Md.) College.
