Cudmore, Glazer and Rhodey selected to play in 2010 IWLCA Division III North/South Game
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Three Salisbury
University student-athletes were selected to play in the
Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)
Division III North/South Game that will take place on June 12 at
the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. The three Sea
Gull seniors, and members of the 2010 national championship
program, are attacker Kim Cudmore
(Bel Air, Md.), defender Jess Glazer
(Ellicott City, Md.) and midfielder Beth Rhodey
(Fallston, Md.).
The game is part of a tripleheader that will feature the Division
I, II and III all-star games throughout the day. The IWLCA will
honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet
that night at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia,
Pa.
Cudmore, a 2010 first-team All-American, played in all 22 games
with 21 starts for the No. 2-ranked Sea Gulls and led the team with
94 points. Cudmore dished out a team-high 56 assists and scored 38
goals, including three game-winning goals. Additionally she scooped
up 12 ground balls, won 19 draw controls and caused nine turnovers
for the Sea Gulls. The senior leaves the program No. 3 all-time in
career assists (121) and No. 4 in career points (234).
Glazer, a second-team All-Chesapeake region recipient, played and
started in 21 games for the maroon and gold. The Ellicott City,
Md., native scooped up a team-high 35 ground balls and finished
tied for third in caused turnovers with 20. Glazer tallied her
first collegiate goal in 2010 with a goal against Hood College on
Feb. 21.
Rhodey, a second-team All-American in 2010, played and started all
22 games for SU and finished tied for second on the team in goals
scored with 44. The Fallston, Md., native finished with 59 points
this season as she dished out 15 assists. The midfielder won a
team-high 43 draw controls, scooped up 22 ground balls and caused
16 turnovers. Rhodey leaves the program as the third highest goal
scorer with 169 career goals and fifth all-time in career points
with 232.
The three Sea Gulls will be joined by familiar company on the
South team as nine of their teammates on the squad were members of
opposing teams in 2010. The South squad will be coached by 2000 SU
alumnus and Elizabethtown head coach Mike Faith.
