Rhodey tabbed as CAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University junior attacker Beth Rhodey was named the women's lacrosse honoree for the week of April 6. This award marks the first for Rhodey in her three years at Salisbury.

Rhodey led top-ranked Salisbury to a 2-0 record last week. The Fallston, Md., product registered eight points in the two victories. She produced three goals, including the game-winner in Salisbury's 24-6 victory over Ursinus last Tuesday. She also added one assist and two ground balls. In SU's 20-8 victory over No. 18 St. Mary's (Md.) College, Rhodey poured in three goals and two assists for the second time that week. For the season, Rhodey is second on the team in points (50), goals (34), and ground balls (22) and is third in assists (16).

This is the second award for Rhodey this season. She was named the Division III Nike/Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week of March 22.

Rhodey is the third Sea Gull to named CAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week this season as junior attacker Kim Cudmore was honored on March 23 and sophomore attacker Logan Bilderback was honored as a co-recipient on March 9.

The Sea Gulls will next travel up Rt. 13 to face conference opponent Wesley College on Tuesday, April 7, at 4 p.m.
