Bilderback claims CAC Women's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week honors
YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University sophomore attacker Logan Bilderback was named the women's lacrosse co-recipient for the week of March 9. She is the first member of the women's lacrosse team to be selected this season.
This award marks the first for Bilderback in her two years at Salisbury. She shares the award with St. Mary's (Md.) College senior midfielder Allie Zerhusen, who scored 10 points on nine goals to lead the 15th-ranked Seahawks to two wins.
Bilderback helped extend SU's winning streak to 28 regular season games as she led No. 2 Salisbury (6-0) to a victory over No. 11 Catholic University of America in the Sea Gulls' only game of the week. The sophomore set a new career-high with seven points on three goals and four assists in SU's 21-9 victory over the Cardinals. Bilderback deposited all three shots that she took in the game into the back of the net including the game-winning goal, which was the first of her career. The Arnold, Md., native now has 11 goals and nine assists on the season for a total of 20 points.
Salisbury University will return to Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play this week when the Sea Gulls host Marymount (Va.) on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. under the lights at Sea Gull Stadium.
