Seven Sea Gulls named to IWLCA Chesapeake All-Region teams
CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its Division III All-Region teams on Friday and seven Salisbury University student-athletes were named to the Chesapeake All-Region team. The IWLCA recognized 224 student-athletes from seven regions for their performances on the field in 2009.
The Sea Gulls (20-2) had five athletes garner first-team All-Region honors in seniors Robyn Bishop, Holly Johnson, Sarah McKinley and Sonja Stuart plus junior Beth Rhodey. Senior defender Sarah Maggio and junior defender Jess Glazer were named to the second team.
This is the second consecutive season that Bishop has been named to the All-Chesapeake first team.
