SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury
University women's lacrosse team earned the top seed in the
upcoming Capital Athletic Conference tournament. The No. 1 ranked
Sea Gulls (17-0) will host eighth-seed Hood College (4-11) on
Sunday, April 20, at 5 p.m. in Sea Gull Stadium.
In other first round action, second-seed St. Mary's (Md.)
College will host the seventh-seed Wesley College. In
Fredericksburg, Va., third-seed University of Mary Washington will
host sixth-seed Marymount (Va.) University. Fourth-seed York (Pa.)
College will host fifth-seed Villa Julie College as the winners
will advance to Tuesday's semifinals. The championship is slated to
be held on Friday, April 25, or Saturday, April 26, depending if
Mary Washington makes the final.
Salisbury shut out Hood during the regular-season, 24-0.
The Sea Gulls are looking to capture their fifth consecutive CAC
championship, seventh overall, since Salisbury joined the
conference in 1995.
