Chmielewski repeats as CAC Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University junior Jessica Chmielewski (Woodbine, Md./South Carroll) repeated as the women's lacrosse recipient as she was named for the week of April 7. This is the fourth straight week a Sea Gull has earned this award as senior Sue Ackermann won back-to-back honors on March 17 and 24. 

Chmielewski set two career-highs on the week both coming against Capital Athletic Conference opponent St. Mary's (Md.) College. The Woodbine, Md., native scored six goals and recorded 10 points, both career-highs, in the 18-11 victory on the road. Chmielewski is second on the team in points (73) and goals scored (41). She earned the CAC Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week award for the week of March 31. In the two weeks she has been named CAC Athlete of the Week she has scored nine goals and 14 assists in four games.

No. 1 Salisbury will travel to Ewing, N.J., to face nationally ranked The College of New Jersey on Saturday, April 12, at 5 p.m.
