SU women’s lacrosse ranked No. 1 in South Atlantic region

INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Committee has released the top teams ranked in each region in the first Division III women's lacrosse poll of the season and Salisbury University is ranked No. 1 in the South Atlantic region.

The Sea Gulls (13-1) took over sole possession of second place in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll after posting an impressive 13-12 come from behind victory over No. 5 The College of New Jersey.

Salisbury lone loss on the season came at the hands of No. 1 Franklin & Marshall who is ranked as the top team in the Metro region. The other top teams are Middlebury (New England region), Hamilton (New York region) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (West region).
