SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University
women's lacrosse team jumped three spots in the latest
Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) to No.
3 in the country after posting two impressive victories in Colorado
Springs, Colo.
The Sea Gulls (10-0) took a 7-0 record to Colorado where they
defeated then No. 2 Amherst 11-4 and followed that win up with an
8-5 win over Colorado College.
Salisbury most recently held off No. 4 Middlebury, 11-10, to
remain perfect on the season.
The Sea Gulls rank in the top five in the country in scoring
offense, scoring defense and scoring margin while junior
Sue Ackermann and senior Natalie
Degele both rank in the top 25 in assists per game.
Ackermann ranks 10th with a 3.11 average while Degele ranks 22nd
with a 2.0 average.
Gettysburg College and The College of New Jersey hold the top
two spots in the IWLCA poll.
The Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, March 31 as they
travel to Lancaster, Pa. to face No. 5 Franklin & Marshall at 2
pm.
