SU women's lacrosse jumps to No. 2 in IWLCA poll

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University women's lacrosse team reached its highest position in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, this season, as the Sea Gulls are ranked No. 2 tied with Middlebury College (5-1). Salisbury (11-1, 4-0 CAC) defeated Middlebury on March 27 here 11-10.

The Sea Gulls last played on April 3 as they defeated then No. 18 Ursinus College, 15-5, in Collegeville, Pa.

This week SU hosts St. Mary's (Md.) College in a Capital Athletic Conference game on Thursday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m. before its annual showdown with The College of New Jersey at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14. The No. 5 Lions (6-1) have held the No. 1 ranking twice this season, most recently last week before they lost last Friday 9-8 in overtime to No. 4 Gettysburg College. The Bullets (9-1) snapped TCNJ's 19-game winning streak.
