VIDEO: Women's basketball drops CAC contest to York (Pa.)
The Salisbury University women’s basketball team took on York College of Pennsylvania in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. The Sea Gulls fell to the Spartans 67-59. Salisbury jumped out to an early 26-11 lead after the first quarter behind seven points from Rachel Ryan. Ryan finished the night with a double-double, recording 13 points and 13 rebounds. Kaylyn French paced the Sea Gulls with a team-high 20 points. French also recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds while adding five blocks, three assists, and two steals. Megan Konig, Salisbury’s leading scorer, was held to single digits for just the third time this season, though she contributed nine points and seven rebounds for the maroon and gold. Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, January 6 as the team travels to take on Frostburg State University at 1 p.m.
