Rothfeld picks up CAC Player of the Week honors after averaging a double-double for the week

YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University women's basketball senior Lauren Rothfeld was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. It marks the second time Rothfeld has been named the Player of the Week this season.

Rothfeld averaged a double-double last week via 19.5 points per game and 12 rebounds per game. She also averaged four steals per game while shooting 60.7 percent from the field (17-of-28).

The Gulls opened up their 2-0 week with a win over Wesley College where Rothfeld went for 21 points and 12 rebounds. She followed that up with an 18-point, 12-rebound performance against York College of Pennsylvania.

Rothfeld and the Gulls return to action with a CAC midweek home contest against Pennsylvania State Unviersity-Harrisburg. That game is set for a 5:30 p.m., tipoff.
