SU basketball coaching clinic returns to Ocean City
SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury University
women's basketball coach Charisse Mapp is
pleased
to announce the return of the 2nd Annual Basketball on
the Beach Coaches Clinic to be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 in Ocean
City, Md.
The first installment of the program featured hours of coaching
education from some of the best minds in the game and the 2009
clinic will be no different. Teresa Grentz brings more than 650
wins at the NCAA Division I level in experience as well as three
gold medals a silver medal and a bronze while leading six U.S.
National teams, including the 1992 Olympic team.
Among others, Grentz will be joined by local coach Lee Rogers,
who has helped three teams to Maryland State Championships while
amassing more than 400 career wins and winning at better than an 84
percent clip at Arundel High School and Jenny Palmateer, who spent
14 years under the tutelage of legendary basketball coach Kay Yow
at N.C. State, and was instrumental in 265 wins as well as sending
six players on to the WNBA.
The clinic will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Northside
Recreation Center on 125th St. in Ocean City. The cost
of the clinic is $40 per coach or $30 per coach (for staffs of
three or more that will be attending). Attendees may register, and
pay in advance, online by visiting the link below or fill out
