Basketball doubleheader at York pushed back again

SALISBURY, Md. -- As the Middle Atlantic section of the country continues to get pounded with blizzard conditions, the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader at York (Pa.) College, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, has been postponed.

The games have been pushed back by one day, now scheduled for Monday night, Feb. 8, at York. The women’s game will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s contest.

The Salisbury women (8-11, 5-6 Capital Athletic Conference) will be looking to avenge a 67-64 loss back on Jan. 13, while the Sea Gull men (11-8, 7-4 CAC) will be looking for a season sweep of the Spartans. Salisbury won the first meeting, at Maggs Physical Activities Center, 78-71.

The move comes on the heels of Friday night’s decision to move all Capital Athletic Conference action scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 back a day to Thursday, Feb. 11. Salisbury’s teams will travel on Thursday to Marymount (Va.) University.

The Sea Gulls’ next scheduled home date is Saturday, Feb. 13, when Salisbury will play host to Stevenson University.
