Women's basketball game at Washington College rescheduled

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University women's basketball team has rescheduled its game against Washington (Md.) College, originally scheduled for Dec. 19. The game will be played on Jan. 4 in Chestertown, slated to tip off at 5:30 p.m.

The game, part of a scheduled doubleheader with the men's teams from each school, had been postponed due to a winter storm that dropped nearly a foot of snow on some parts of Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The men's game has not been rescheduled at this time.

Salisbury's women's team (5-2, 2-0 Capital Athletic Conference) will play its first game in a span of three weeks when the Sea Gulls travel to Newport News, Va., to take on Christopher Newport University on Jan. 2. That game is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
