Campbell wins 400-meter hurdles at German National Championships

NURNBERG, GERMANY – Salisbury University class of 2015 graduate and standout track & field athlete Luke Campbell continued his impressive post-collegiate career as he repeated as the German national champion in the 400-meter hurdles posting a time of 50.31 seconds in the process. This is the second straight national title for Campbell, who earned the victory in July 2017 in the 400-meter hurdles as well.

Campbell also posted a new personal record this season in the 400-meter hurdles earlier this month when he came home in a time of 49.19 seconds.

With the victory Campbell has earned a spot as a representative of the German National Team in the European Championships, which will be held from August 7-12 in Germany's capital city of Berlin at Olympic Stadium. Around 1,600 athletes from over 50 countries will participate and compete in the championships in a total of 47 different events.
