INDIANAPOLIS – The National Collegiate Athletic Association released the qualifiers on Saturday morning for the 2018 Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships to be held at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Salisbury University will have three representatives at this year's championships as senior Duncan Ferrin and freshman Donovan Beckett-Simms each qualified for the men's side while sophomore Kyleigh Dumas will be the lone representative on the women's side. This will be all three athletes' first trip to the NCAA outdoor track & field championships.
Ferrin will participate in the hammer throw and is seeded seventh overall with a seed mark of 199' 4", which he posted on May 16 at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships. Ferrin will compete on Saturday, May 26 in the hammer throw finals at 11 a.m.
Beckett-Simms is seeded fourth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 49' 11.75", which he also posted on May 16 at the ECAC championships hosted by Johns Hopkins University. Beckett-Simms will compete on Saturday, May 26 starting at 2 p.m.
Dumas will compete in the pole vault and is seeded 17th overall in this year's championships. Dumas set a seed mark of 12' 4", which she posted at the Capital Athletic Conference championships back on May 4. Dumas will compete at 12 p.m., on Thursday, May 24.
The championships will be held May 24-26 at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
