FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners for the week ending January 27 on Tuesday afternoon. Salisbury University track and field athlete Glory Ebinama earned conference recognition as she was named the Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
Ebinama broke the Salisbury University 60-meter dash record on Saturday, January 27 at the 2018 Patriot Games hosted by George Mason University. Ebinama captured a third-place finish in the 60-meter dash posting a time of 7.89 seconds. Her time broke the original school record of 7.93 seconds set back in 2014-15 by Chanel Beaudoin.
Ebinama also went on to capture an 11th-place finish in the 200-meter dash coming home in a time of 25.57 seconds.
Salisbury returns to action on Friday, February 2 when it travels to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to compete in the two-day Eastern Shore Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start both days at 9 a.m.
