  • Ferrin, Beckett-Simms named USTFCCCA All-Americans

    The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released the organization's 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Americans on Wednesday and Salisbury University had two athletes recognized by the organization as both Duncan Ferrin and Donovan Beckett-Simms were named to the list of honorees.

    Salisbury University rounded out its weekend that 2018 Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships as both Duncan Ferrin and Donovan Beckett-Simms competed in their respective events, the hammer throw and triple jump.

    Salisbury University opened its weekend of competition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Sophomore Kyleigh Dumas opened the Sea Gulls weekend, competing in the pole vault on Thursday afternoon.

    The Salisbury University track & field program traveled to La Crosse, Wisconsin this week as three members of the maroon and gold will compete in the 2018 Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 24-26. Kyleigh Dumas will compete first for the Sea Gulls on Thursday, May 24 while both Duncan Ferrin and Donovan Beckett-Simms will compete on Saturday, May 26.
  • 12 Sea Gulls earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors

    The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released the 2018 All-Region honorees for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season. Salisbury University had 12 athletes recognized between the men’s and women’s program by USTFCCCA for their outstanding performances this season.

    The Salisbury University men’s and women’s track and field programs traveled to Swarthmore, Pennsylvania to compete at the SWAT Last Chance Meet on Monday night. The Sea Gulls saw five new personal records from members of both teams during the competition.

    The Capital Athletic Conference released the 2018 Track & Field All-Conference teams on Friday morning and Salisbury University had 16 athletes recognized for their efforts but the Sea Gulls were led by Head Coach Jim Jones, who was named the 2018 Women's Track & Field Coach of the Year.
  • Women finish second, men place third at 2018 CAC championships

    The Salisbury University track & field programs concluded the 2018 Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday as the women finished second overall recording 142 points, finishing just two points behind the women's champion Christopher Newport University, which recorded 144 points. Meanwhile the men placed third tallying 133 points for the weekend.

  • Track & field prepares to host CAC championships

    For the first time since 2013 the Capital Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships return to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and the friendly confines of the Salisbury Track & Field Complex. The two-day event will bring athletes from all 10 conference schools to compete in the championships and a chance to claim the conference title. On Friday events will begin at 2 p.m. while everything will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.

    The Salisbury University track and field program traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to compete in the 124th running of the historic Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania. Both the men's and women's 4x400-meter relay teams and Duncan Ferrin made the trip to compete with other top athletes and teams in the nation at Franklin Field.

Both Kyleigh Dumas and Donovan Beckett-Simms found their way into the Salisbury University track and field record books as each posted a record in their respective events as Dumas tied a record and Beckett-Simms broke one that had stood for two decades.
