    The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its 2016-17 Scholar Teams of the Year and All-Academic Team honors on Friday morning.

    The Capital Athletic Conference announced its 2016-17 All-Academic Team and Salisbury University student-athletes made up a large number of the record 1,501 named to the team.

    The United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association released its All-America honors for the 2017 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season on Tuesday morning. Salisbury University senior Meghan McGowan earned All-America honors in the high jump.

    The College Sports Information Directors of America released the 2016-17 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Track/Cross Country teams on Thursday afternoon. These awards recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances both athletically but more importantly academically. Salisbury University was represented by senior Meghan McGowan and junior Eric Halton.

Senior Meghan McGowan and junior Eric Halton will represent the maroon and gold at this year's championships as each earned an invitation.

    The Salisbury University men's and women's track team competed in the Swarthmore Final Quarter Meet on Monday afternoon hosted by Swarthmore College. Alison Schwartz broke her third school record this season as she posted a personal record as well in the 5,000-meter run to lead the team.

The Salisbury University men?s and women?s track & field programs were recognized by the conference as 10 different members of the maroon and gold earned all-conference honors.

    The Salisbury University track & field program competed in its second outdoor meet of the season traveling to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Alison Schwartz headlined a great weekend of competition for the Sea Gulls as she shattered the 10,000-meter run school record defeating a former Olympian in the process.

Salisbury University senior Meghan McGowan and junior Eric Halton were honored by the organization after their performances at the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

    On the final day of the 2017 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships both Eric Halton and Meghan McGowan turned in impressive performances in their respective events. Halton finished third in the 400-meter dash while McGowan tied for sixth to earn All-American honors.
  • Halton breaks school record as he qualifies for finals

    Salisbury University track & field junior Eric Halton competed in the 400-meter dash preliminaries at the 2017 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. Halton completed the race in a time of 48.85 seconds to secure a spot in the finals on Saturday.

Seven different Sea Gulls earned recognition for their performances during the season as they were named to the Mideast All-Region team.

  • Track & field off and running at annual Lloyd Sigler Meet

    The Salisbury University track & field team hosted its annual Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet on Saturday. Both the men's and women's team earned overall victories with great performances from the track and the field athletes scoring 306 and 267 points, respectively.
