YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University men's track & field senior Luke Campbell was named the Capital Athletic Conference men's Track Athlete of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced on Tuesday.
Campbell led the Sea Gulls in an impressive outing at the Penn Relays over the weekend. He anchored the 4x400-meter relay team, which beat out multiple Division I teams and set the No. 8 time in the country by winning its heat with a time of 3:15.78. Overall, the team came in 26th in the meet.
He also finished 12th in the 110-meter hurdles with a 14.24-second race.
Campbell previously won the CAC Track Athlete of the Week award on March 29 and April 5, and he was most recently named the conference's Athlete of the Year on April 29 for a league-record, third-career time.
The Sea Gulls are back in action on Saturday, May 7, hosting the SU Rumble at the SU Track. The meet is set for 10 a.m.
