Cut for a Cure: national championship 4x400 relay team to shave Jim Jones' head

SALISBURY, Md. – Ever wonder what Salisbury University head track & field coach Jim Jones would look like with a clean shaven head? You can find out on Tuesday, April 12, as the coach will see his locks shaved off by the recent SU national champion 4x400-meter relay team.

Coach Jones made the promise that if the team won, they could shave his head. The team of Luke Campbell, Jerel Madison, Zach Schmelz, and Eric Halton made good on their end of the agreement, winning the title at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 12, and now, exactly one month later, coach Jones will make good on his end.

But the cut will mean so much more than just that, as the team and coaching staff hopes to use the opportunity to raise funds for Women Supporting Women and the Brooke Mulford Foundation. The cut will take place in Perdue Hall Room 156 at 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 12. All are invited, but asked to make a donation of at least $1 for admission to the event.

Join us for this event, supporting two wonderful organizations, and the most recent Sea Gull national champions!
