Sea Gulls ranked No. 12 in USTFCCCA rankings; track teams not competing in George Mason Open

NEW ORLEANS - The Salisbury University men's track & field team moved to No. 12 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Team Computer Rankings, the organization announced.

The Sea Gulls earned 66.98 points in the rankings to keep their spot within the top 15, following a strong showing at the Colonial Relays at the College of William and Mary on Saturday.

The top-five teams only saw one change, as No. 1 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (159.55 points), No. 2 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (105.73 points), No. 3 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (101.62 points), and No. 4 Monmouth (Ill.) College (89.44 points) held their spots. No. 5 Rowan University moved up from No. 13 in the preseason poll with 81.02 points.

Due to the inclement weather forecasted for the Mid-Atlantic region this weekend, the Salisbury men's and women's track & field teams will no longer by competing in the George Mason University Open on Saturday, April 9. Therefore, the Sea Gulls will next be in action in the Christopher Newport University Captains' Classic on Saturday, April 16 for their final warm up for the Capital Athletic Conference championships. The meet at CNU is set for 9 a.m.
