McGowan earns second CAC Field Athlete of the Week for indoor season

YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University women's track & field junior Meghan McGowan earned her second Capital Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week award of the season, the league announced on Tuesday.

McGowan secured her spot in the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship meet for the second-straight season in the high jump in the Eastern College Athletic Conference championships on Saturday. She tied her school record with a 5' 6.5" jump to place second in the meet and move into a tie for No. 11 in the country.

Last season, McGowan earned All-American in the high jump at the 2015 NCAA Indoor national championships.

The 2016 national championship meet is next up for McGowan and the Sea Gulls on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12. Salisbury will also be competing in the Coastal Carolina University Invitational to continue the beginning of the 2016 outdoor season on the same dates.
