NEW ORLEANS – The Salisbury University men's track and field team moved into the top 25 of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association NCAA Division III Indoor Team Dual Meet Rankings at No. 21, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Coming off of a second-place finish in the 2016 indoor Capital Athletic Conference championships on Sunday, the Sea Gulls earned 155.1 points in the dual meet rankings.
The dual meet rankings are designed to show how full track & field teams with at least two athletes per event would fare in head-to-head competition.
The Salisbury men currently rank first in the Mideast Region in the rankings, while the women's team sits a No. 3 in the region with 126.28 points.
The Sea Gulls are now looking forward to the George Mason University Winter Games on Sunday, February 28; the meet is set to begin at 9 a.m.
