Sea Gulls ranked No. 21 heading into CAC championships

NEW ORLEANS – The Salisbury University men's track & field team continues to be ranked among the nation's best, coming in at No. 21 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Indoor Track & Field National Team Computer Rankings, the organization announced.

The Sea Gulls earned 39.54 points in the poll, following the team's final preparations for the Capital Athletic Conference championships in the Susquehanna University Invitational on Friday.

The top-five teams saw some movement this week, with University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (133.47) moving up one spot to take over No. 1. University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (93.25) jumped three spots to No. 2, and University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (93.24) fell out of the No. 1 spot to No. 3. University of Mount Union (87.73) held strong at No. 4, while Monmouth College moved into the top five at No. 5 with 87.10 points.

Salisbury now looks towards the CAC championships, as the men's team looks to defend its title, and the women compete for their second CAC championship. The meet will take place at Christopher Newport University on Sunday, February 21, beginning at 9 a.m.
