NEW ORLEANS - The Salisbury University men's track & field team kept a spot in the top 20 in the country, ranking No. 17 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Division III national team computer rankings, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls earned 57.95 points to take the 17th spot, after the team competed in the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The top five teams remained the same, while there was movement amongst the teams. No. 1 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse remained at the No. 1 spot with 208.97 points. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire moved up one spot to No. 2 with 192.69 points, flipping spots with No. 3 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (137.90 points). No. 4 Monmouth (Ill.) College (107.28 points) and No. 5 Augustana (Ill.) College (106.67 points) rounded out the top five.
The Sea Gulls now get set for the Capital Athletic Conference championships on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 at York College of Pennsylvania.
