Campbell earns second CAC Athlete of the Week award

YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly track & field awards on Tuesday and Salisbury University sophomore Luke Campbell was honored as the league's Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this year.

Competing at the historic Penn Relays, Campbell was the only Division III runner in the 110-meter hurdle field, placing 14th out of 25 runners. The Brunswick, Md., native broke the school and CAC record in the event, crossing the finish line in 14.21 seconds, the third-fastest time in the nation this season.

Campbell will defend his CAC title in the event this weekend at the conference championships at Christopher Newport University on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4.
