NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its latest computer rankings on Wednesday and Salisbury University's men's track & field team is currently ranked 13th in the nation.
Salisbury garnered 72.06 points in the latest rankings, less than three points behind fellow Capital Athletic Conference member Christopher Newport University (75.04 points).
The computer rankings take into account this year's outdoor performances, along with top performances from the 2013 season.
Salisbury currently has two student-athletes with top-20 performances nationally this season. Sophomore Luke Campbell's time of 14.83 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles is fifth-best in the country while junior Dylan Burkett ranks ninth in the nation in the discus, with a top effort of 159' 1".
Salisbury will be in action this Saturday, April 12, traveling to the Johns Hopkins University/Loyola University Invitational.
