SU women’s track & field earns USTFCCCA All-Academic honors

NEW ORLEANS – The Salisbury University women's track & field team earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic status, the organization announced on Thursday.

Salisbury posted a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.37 and was one of 137 teams to collect the honor.

For a team to be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic team award, it must have a minimum 3.10 cumulative grade-point average.

The Sea Gulls earned the Capital Athletic Conference's inaugural indoor track & field championship as well as their third overall and consecutive outdoor conference title in 2012.

Salisbury was not the only CAC team to earn the honor as Hood College (3.35 GPA) collected All-Academic status in its final season in the league.
