YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners and Salisbury University sophomore Kara Tolson was named the league's women's track Athlete of the Week.
Tolson earned a pair of wins at the Susquehanna Invite on Sunday, hosted by Susquehanna University, and also earned her third school record of the year. The Bel Air, Md., native won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.80 seconds and teamed with classmates Whitney Handy and Alex Greissinger and freshman Michelle Clark to set a new school record in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:50.50.
This is the second award of the indoor season for Tolson, who also earned the honor during the first week of the year.
Tolson and the Sea Gulls will battle for a CAC title this Sunday, Feb. 19 when the league holds its inaugural indoor championship at George Mason University.
