Sea Gulls fall one spot in latest USTFCCCA top 25 indoor rankings

NEW ORLEANS - The Salisbury University men's track & field team fell one spot from No. 14 to No. 15 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 25 indoor rankings. The Sea Gulls collected 44.61 points this week, just .32 points behind No. 14 Whitworth University.

The Sea Gulls are coming off their first ever indoor Mason-Dixon Track & Field Conference championship over the weekend hosted by Christopher Newport University; the Sea Gulls defeated Gwynedd-Mercy College by just half a point to claim the championship. The maroon and gold had 12 student-athletes garner All-Mason-Dixon Conference honors in a combined nine events, including two relays.

Salisbury will be back in action this Sunday when the Sea Gulls travel to Fairfax, Va., to take part in the George Mason Winter Games. It will be one of two remaining chances for the Salisbury athletes to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held March 12-13 in Greencastle, Ind.
