LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After a perfect six-win week, the Salisbury University softball team jumped back into the top 10 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association top-25 poll, moving up to No. 8 this week.
The Sea Gulls, who moved up three spots, earned 136 points in this week's poll, just seven points shy of No. 7 Luther College.
Salisbury won six games in a three-day span this past weekend sweeping four games in the Sea Gull Classic and rallying for a doubleheader sweep against Lynchburg College.
The University of Texas-Tyler remains atop the poll, with all 20 first-place votes and the maximum 200 points, followed by Emory University (192 points), Christopher Newport University (184), Texas Lutheran University (176), and Tufts University (168).
Salisbury returns to action this Saturday, hosting Houghton College at the SU Softball Field in a doubleheader slated to start at 1 p.m.
