Softball stays at No. 3 in NFCA poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On the heels of a perfect, 4-0 weekend at the Triangle Classic in North Carolina this past weekend, the Salisbury University softball team remained at No. 3 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll, the organization announced on Wednesday morning.

Salisbury received 185 points, as the only top-five team to begin its season thus far. Tufts University remained at the top of the poll, with 200 points and all eight first-place votes, followed by Montclair State University (190 points), Salisbury, the State University of New York at Cortland (167 points) and Central (Iowa) College (162 points).

Salisbury is scheduled to return to action this Friday and Saturday, traveling to Virginia Beach, Va. for the Virginia Wesleyan Beach Blast. The Sea Gulls are slated to begin the event taking on Kean University, on Friday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m.
