SU home opener against Washington postponed, moved to late April

SALISBURY, Md. - The 2009 Salisbury University softball season will have to wait a few more days before the Sea Gulls take the field. SU's home opener scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, at home against Eastern Shore rival Washington (Md.) College has been postponed due to poor field conditions because of snow. Salisbury and Washington have rescheduled the doubleheader for Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m.

The Sea Gulls will next set their sights on the Virginia Wesleyan College Beach Blast tournament slated for this weekend down in Virginia Beach, Va. SU will next be at home on March 13 when it will host the Sea Gull Invitational at Henry Parker Athletic Complex in North Salisbury. The maroon and gold will make their debut at Sea Gull Field on Sunday, March 15, when SU welcomes DePauw and Plattsburgh State to campus.
