MacLean named CAC Player of the Week for men's tennis

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly men's tennis awards on Tuesday and Salisbury University sophomore Patrick MacLean was named the league's Player of the Week.

MacLean helped Salisbury to a 9-0 CAC win against St. Mary's College of Maryland on Friday, winning in both doubles and singles to claim the honor. At No. 2 doubles, MacLean and playing partner Matthew Ryan earned an 8-1 win. The Crownsville, Maryland native went on to win 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.

MacLean joins teammates Stefan Hein and Ian Siew who were each named the league's Player of the Week earlier this season.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Thursday, April 5 hosting No. 14 University of Mary Washington. That match is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
