Men's tennis tabbed No. 3 in CAC coaches' poll

YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference released its preseason coaches' poll results for men's tennis on Thursday morning, and the Salisbury University squad is slated to finish third in the league.

The CAC coaches awarded the Sea Gulls 37 points in the preseason poll, just six points behind second-place Christopher Newport University (43 points and one first-place vote), while the University of Mary Washington sits atop the poll with seven first-place votes and 49 points.

York College of Pennsylvania captured 28 points for fourth place, while Penn State University-Harrisburg (24 points), St. Mary's College of Maryland (22), Southern Virginia University (14), and Frostburg State University (7) round out the eight-team poll.

Salisbury has competed in  six matches this season, posting a 4-2 mark, including a win in the Sea Gulls' first CAC match of the year, a 6-3 victory against Southern Virginia.

Salisbury is back in action on Friday, March 11 hosting Stevenson University in a non-conference showdown at the SU Tennis Courts, beginning at 3 p.m.
