Albers named CAC Men's Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly tennis awards Tuesday and Salisbury University sophomore Daniel Albers was named the Men's Player of the Week.

On the Sea Gulls' Spring Break trip to Texas, Albers led the maroon and gold with an overall record of 6-2, including a spotless 4-0 at No. 1 doubles with partner Eric Spangler. Albers also earned two straight-set victories at No. 1 singles.

Salisbury earned two wins on the trip, improving its overall record to 5-6.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, March 30th when they travel to the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md., to play three matches, taking on Goucher College at 10:30 a.m., Frostburg State University at 1:30 p.m., and Juniata College at 4 p.m.
