Men’s swimming combines to earn five All-CAC honors at 2018 championships

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – At the 2018 Capital Athletic Conference Swimming Championships, the Salisbury University men's swimming team had four members named All-CAC performers for their efforts at St. Mary's College of Maryland from February 22-25.

Sophomore Josh Brown made a huge splash at this year's championships, earning three individual first-team All CAC nods.

On Friday, Brown set both new school and conference records when he finished in first-place in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 21.01 seconds. He followed it up by breaking school records on Saturday in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of 50.87 seconds, and on Sunday in the 100-yard individual medley, with a time of 52.33 seconds.

Junior Richard Baker earned an individual second-team All-CAC honor for his second-place finish on Sunday in the 100-yard freestyle event, posting a time of 47.24 seconds.

Brown and Baker, alongside teammates Peter Moyer and Jake Ryan, combined to earn a second-team All-CAC honor in the final event of the weekend – the 400-yard freestyle relay event – posting a time of 3:09.27.
