Spadin earns All-CAC first team honors; Eiben, Brookhart named to second team

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its All-CAC men's soccer teams on Wednesday and three Salisbury University players earned recognition, as Ryan Spadin was named to the first team and Alex Eiben and Trevor Brookhart were named to the second team.

Spadin's first-team selection is the first all-conference honor of his career. The junior midfielder finished the season tied for second on the team with seven points. He notched three goals and one assist on the year, including two game-winning goals. Spadin paced the Salisbury attack, attempting a team-high 37 shots.

Eiben was the anchor to a Salisbury defense that ranked third in the CAC with a 0.75 goals-against average. The junior started all 18 games for the Sea Gulls, helping the team to an 11-4-3 overall record and 4-2-1 conference record. Eiben was an essential part in posting nine shutouts on the season, as well as allowing more than one goal just twice on the season. The second-team selection is the first All-CAC honor of Eiben's career.

Brookhart, whose second-team selection is also the first All-CAC accolade of his career, ranked second in the conference with a .840 save percentage and 0.72 goals-against average. The senior was tied for first in the CAC with nine shutouts on the season while racking up 68 saves, which was good for third.
