Men's, women's soccer teams earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced the Team Academic Award winners to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom for the 2017-18 academic year, and both the Salisbury University men's and women's soccer teams earned the Team Academic Award.

College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade-point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.

Salisbury was one of just 195 schools who had both the men's and women's programs earn the award, while a total of 781 college teams (293 men, 488 women) were recognized.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
