DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced the Men's Soccer Player of the Month awards for September on Thursday morning, and Salisbury University senior goalkeeper Trevor Brookhart was named the Division III South Defensive Player of the Month.
Brookhart has led the Sea Gulls to an 8-1-1 start to the season and 1-0 start in Capital Athletic Conference play. The senior has posted six shutouts through the first 10 games while making a total of 35 saves, notching an .897 save percentage. He has allowed just four goals in 875 minutes of action, good enough for a 0.41 goals-against average.
The senior ranks 15th in Division III in goals-against average, 16th in save percentage, and is tied for ninth in shutouts.
Brookhart and the Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, October 6 when they travel to take on Penn State University-Harrisburg at 12 p.m.
