Brookhart earns CAC Player of the Week honors

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners for men's soccer on Monday and Salisbury University senior goalkeeper Trevor Brookhart was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.

Brookhart helped the Sea Gulls improve to 6-1 on the season with two 1-0 victories last week. His five shutouts this season are more than he totaled in the entire 2017 campaign.

Brookhart made a total of eight saves in Salisbury's shutout wins over Washington (Md.) College and Misericordia University and now has a conference-leading 28 saves on the year.

The senior increased his save percentage to .903 on the year while lowering his goals-against average to 0.43.

Salisbury returns to the field on Wednesday, September 19 when it hosts Anne Arundel Community College at 4 p.m.
