Three Gulls land spots on ECAC South All-Star team

DANBURY, Conn. – The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Salisbury University men's soccer team, as the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced it Division III All-Star teams Tuesday afternoon, and seniors Logan Becker, Kyle Westbrook and Tanner East were all placed on the South second team. 

Starting center back Becker is making his second appearance on the all-star team, earning first-team honors last season. The Pocomoke, Maryland native has now accumulated four accolades in his senior season, earning a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's All-Atlantic South first team, a spot on the All-Capital Athletic Conference first team, and being named the league's Defensive Player of the Week back on November 3. 

Second-year captain Westbrook has been placed on the all-star team for the first time in his collegiate career. The Salisbury, Maryland native has put together quite a senior season, as this is his fifth honor of the year. Westbrook earned a spot on the NSCAA All-Atlantic South third team, the All-CAC first team, the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team, and was named CAC Defensive Player of the Week on September 8. 

Starting attacker East landed a spot on the all-star team for the second-consecutive season, earning a spot on the first team in 2013. The Salisbury, Maryland native also earned a spot on the All-CAC first team at the conclusion of the season to add to his postseason accolades. East led the Gulls on the offensive front, posting a team-high 18 points off seven goals and four assists.
