SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team continues to make its way up the rankings again this week, as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and D3soccer.com released their weekly polls on Tuesday afternoon with the Sea Gulls ranked No. 20 and 14, respectively.
Salisbury maintained its undefeated season this past week going 2-0 against Roanoke College and Southern Virginia University, shifting its overall record to 7-0-2. Senior forward Benjamin Aryeetey paced the offense through the two matches, finding the back of the net twice and adding two helpers for a six-point week. The strong offensive week for the senior earned him the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Christopher Newport University remains the only other CAC team to join the Sea Gulls in the top 20 in either poll, as the Captains rank No. 13 in NSCAA and No. 15 in D3soccer.com.
Sitting atop the rankings is Messiah College, who holds an unblemished 10-0 tally through the 2014 campaign. Kenyon College comes in at No. 2 in both polls with a 9-0 record.
The men take the pitch on Wednesday, October 1, as Salisbury travels to the nation's capital for a non-conference match against Catholic University of America. First touch is set for 4 p.m.
