YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury University senior Trevor Sharpe was selected as Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Sharpe tallied a goal and two assists in victories over Marymount (Va.) University and No. 4 York College of Pennsylvania this past week. In the match against the Saints, the Cherry Hill, N.J., native found the back of the net late in the second half to seal up the win. Against the Spartans, he recorded two assists on goals by junior Tanner East and senior Elliott Crompton to give the Sea Gulls a 2-1 lead just 13 minutes into the second period.
The men head on the road for their next two contests with the first stop at Newport News, Va., for a conference matchup against new member Christopher Newport University. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
